£1 million isn't alot these days and I'd have it spent in no time at all:

• New House
• Few new cars
• Money to friends and family
• Holiday

Aaaaaaaaand its gone and back to work within a month or two.

Now, £5 million is worth retiring for!

money to my close family, most particularly to my son & his lovely lady partner

money to close friends

a cruise up the coast of Norway to see the Midnight Sun/Aurora Borealis = must have a state room facing the coastline going up north (can't do this port/starboard thing)

whilst on cruise, have some jobs fixed in the house, all ready for when I get home
