What a race. Ferrari had a terrible start (with Vettel jumping the start, then restarting which allowed Bottas to leap into the lead) No penalty!
Leclerc took Max out and then drove round with his front wing hanging off and bits flying off his car for a full lap. Yet to hear what penalty he has been given .
Bottas won, Vettel 2nd and Lewis 3rd.
Not sure why they pitted LH a 2nd time...he was leading and every chance of winning but hey ho.
Mercedes have won the constructors championship for the 6th year in a row.

It's the Mexican F1 this weekend.
Sky have worked out the permutations for Hamilton to win the WDC at this venue
For Hamilton to be champion at the Mexican GP, the following permutations apply:
But...
All this shows is how much closer Bottas is to Hamilton this year. Last year Lewis won the title at Mexico by coming 4th. Verstappen won the race and Vettel was his nearest rival then.
Also this is a track which favours Red Bull or Ferrari....so I think winning it this weekend is nigh impossible. I won't be holding my breath anyway.

Due to a complaint by Racing Point, Renault have been disqualified from the results in Suzuka!!
Apparently it was an infringment of a drivers aid in the braking system
They are considering an appeal.

Some fool old me it could affect Mercedes winning the WCC. When I questioned how that was possible, I was told Leclerc had scored more points with Renault being DQ's and if Ferrari won the next 4 races and Merc drivers failed to finish then Ferrari would beat Merc by one point.
I replied there was more chance of seeing a bunch of pink pigs flying over the moon @Anonymous

The F word is forbidden in this house! (I’d be mightily upset if they came within a sniff of a big trophy, it’s bad enough that they’ve won a few already) grrr
I doubt we've seen the last of it @Anonymous . Mexico is a track which favours Ferrari and RBR. Lewis has won championships here but never won the race since 2016 (Rosberg won in 2015)

I can’t stand MV but I’d rather he win than SV. CL is slowly growing on me but I’d rather he be anywhere other than at F.
I think LH has it in the bag but as we’ve seen before... the fat lady sometimes loses her voice!
I think Max has matured a lot this year so I'm fine with him (he is my grandson's favourite driver and we watch a lot of F1 together haha)
I don't like Leclerc at all. He is talented but I think he exudes a sense of entitlement. A lot of whinging over the radio for a new kid on the block doesn't sit well with me. Particularly when it's his team mate he is moaning about.
I doubt Lewis will wrap up the title on Sunday. He has to beat Bottas by 14 points to do that..and as he said at today's press conference 'VB is driving damn well and there hasn't been a race this season where I have beaten him by 14 points'.
I hope he does it next week at COTA.... as the following race in Brazil, I am away for a long weekend (which involves a lot of socialising and drinking and no access to Sky )
