Starting a new thread (before the last one gets split again)...:smileytongue:

It is 2018, The year of the Halo... Like it or hate it, it will be implemented as part of new FIA rules

None of the 2018 cars have been revealed yet (that happens in February) but this is how it will look

Image result for Fi Mercedes cars with Halo

Most drivers' aren't keen but are having to toe the party line...

It's far more complicated than that @welshsteve76. First race of my beloved F1 season and guess who will be away in Yarmouth on a rock and roll (boozy) weekend with a group of friends? ME!! So that hour will make all the difference in the world. I mean do I stay awake rather drunk or get my head down and set the alarm.😂😂 Actually I have found out it IS 06.10am...so that's something I suppose 😴

HAHA. If you're going to be drinking, don't try a kip because you'll just be too tired and miss the start.  Get plenty of sleep before you go out and try and stay up.  That would be my approach anyway wink

Thanks

Someone leaked a picture of the Toro Rosso F1 car (not due to be revealed till Feb 26th)

Toro Rosso then released this with the comment...."Why look at a leaked picture when you can have the real thing?"

Image may contain: car and outdoor

Here we have the STR 13. (not sure if that's the rain in Italy...or the new Honda engine blowing up Fear

Apparently on the live feed which I have just watched 'It might look the same as last year minus the shark fin and including the halo but it's  beast under the bonnet'

Bottas tried it out at a very damp Silverstone and Hamilton will be giving it a go this afternoon....:smileywink:

McLaren launches its 2018 Formula 1 car

My least favourite so far...The blue does not go with the Papaya Orange. Here's hoping now they have ditched Honda they run better this year the their Renault powered engine

What's everyone's thoughts on the halo?  It looks cool, but I have real fear for the drivers vision, particularly on steep gradients and in poor wet conditions.

Thanks
