Starting a new thread (before the last one gets split again)...:smileytongue:

It is 2018, The year of the Halo... Like it or hate it, it will be implemented as part of new FIA rules

None of the 2018 cars have been revealed yet (that happens in February) but this is how it will look

Image result for Fi Mercedes cars with Halo

Most drivers' aren't keen but are having to toe the party line...

Absolutely agree and no need for them at all. It was Valtteri's race and Mercedes panicked when Seb was gaining on Lewis.

In fairness Lewis was very unhappy as well.

Still Ferrari have been employing team orders for years so it's nothing new.

Lewis won and I would have been quite happy with him in 2nd

Yes and the F1 forum Lewis haters are blaming him.

He didn't ask, Toto pressed the button for tactics. Then of course, folk think Lewis should have allowed Valtteri past at the chequered flag?

It wasn't Austria where Lewis handed first place back . Bottas wasn't close enough to risk that

When you are fighting for the WDC it isn't worth even trying that move.

I wasn't happy, Lewis and Valtteri weren't either, but no need to pan LH for obeying team orders.

One fact to note. When LH wins a wdc before season end, he never wins another race after that. So hopefully he will be able to do Bottas a favour if things go well...

I'm absolutely certain he will help him after the title is clinched. He's that sort of guy and of course the haters are out there. I don't now of any other country where the media cry out for a world beater, big them up with full page spreads and then for some unknown reason, take great delight in bringing the said same people down to the gutter with malicious lies, rumours and by focusing on their private lives, all the time digging for as much dirt as they can find. There must be a reason for it....oh yeah, it sells their mucky publications!

It's quite soul destroying to see the comments on social media.

Lewis Hamilton is the best F1 racer this country has ever had.... BAR NONE!

Consistently breaking record after record and loving his life and racing.

Yet there are a lot of his own countryman and women who will find every excuse in the book to pan him for his looks, his wealth, his lifestyle etc.

Even ridiculing him for his religious beliefs and the fact he is a vegan.

A lad who had came from a council estate in Stevenage, with his dad working 3 jobs to get him into

go karting.

Pure skill got him where he is today, not his fathers money.

Now he is getting it in the neck for obeying team orders, whether he liked them or not.

If not for team orders... the 'legendary' Schumacher would have 3 less world championships.

So think about that.
