Not sure what's happening in Florida US.

Yesterday we had news about a 22 year old singer Christina Grimmie who was shot and killed at the Plaza in Florida. Christina was a contestant on the Voice and was perfoming at the Florida venue. After she was shot, her killer then shot and killed himself

Today in breaking news, another awful incident is unfolding. A shooting at a nightclub in Orlando...and hostages taken.

The more I'm reading of this, it sounds like that's the scenario in this instance, and in that sort of circumstance, there isn't a single thing that anyone could have done to prevent this.

Just so unbelievable that there were two shooting incidents within 24hrs in Orlando.

Now this is where the EU can exert power if it has any.

Ban all USA citizens (including politicians) from entering all EU member countries until they pass acceptable legislation.

Demand all US consular staff are withdrawn from all EU member countries.

Withdraw all EU member countries consular staff from US.

That would even trump Trump !

obviously I don't agree with 'anyone & everyone' having any sort of gun ... ... ... I don't want to go to America, even if I could afford it, but if I could it would be to see the wolves in Yosemite National Park ... with all due respect & deference to @Bambino America could 'get its act together' ... & ... see this isn't the way forward in the 21st century ... but ... its never going to happen as bambino has explained above  ^  ^  ^ ... our world is enough of a place of violence at present ... & ... like @Cleoriff has said similarly above  ^  ^  ^  I am concerned for my son (31) / his partner(23)

The more information coming through..the more I despair.  Isis sympathiser and homophobe. Whilst a 20 year old arrested ,with weapons,  admitting to prepare to 'cause harm' at a gay pride parade in LA.

My heart goes out to all the families in Orlando.  x

It really does show how low some people are.
What is more scary is that there was a heavily armed man arrested on the way to a gay pride event in Los Angeles, so on the surface it appears to be a coordinated thing...

IS have now claimed responsibility as the perpetrator pledged his allegiance to the Islamic State in a 911 call. The authorities are also still treating it as a terror attack. Are there any Muslim gays...? You bet your life there are and I see it on Walking Street here, every time I go.
