Favorite radio station on DAB.

What is your favorite radio station on DAB?

For those of us not sure of the difference... what's DAB compared to the usual radio? I listen to Capital FM for example via my Echo Dot. Is that DAB? I'm out of the loop on this one.

DAB is digital broadcasting (airways)

Normal radio is analogue (airways)

Echo Dot, Alexa etc are internet radio (like apps on your phone)

Thanks for educating me guys. So I think some of the car radios I've seen are like this, with the song info displaying etc. 

In addition to listening to Capital FM (and sometimes Smooth Radio) I also sometimes listen to LBC like @Martin-O2 ! Some interesting debates there. The radio playlists can get a bit repetitive when I listen all day especially if they are the top charts they're playing.

The car radio, or any other radio that displays song info is using a system called RDS.

@AnonymousI’ve been checking out your area & it seems you only get the basic DAB channels (BBC) presumably because of the hilly surroundings.. so probably wouldn’t be much point in upgrading to DAB.

The local transmitter is not on top of the hills which surround Skipton

It is nestled half way down the hill, so as not to spoil the landscape views?

I do have a basic SKY package ... Can I get DAB radio on that? ... I wouldn't know which channels it would be mindst?
