Privacy is truly dead. Facebook knows everything.

I remember a funny story about that.
I used to play Farmville years ago when it was just one farm. Then it got out of hand by adding other farms and islands. Anyway it was the big thing on FB. My husband played it as did my grandson. I never personally asked anyone to play but lots of people did
One day one of my friends posted this as his status
"For all you bloody farmers out there... just STOP asking me to join in. I hate the damn game. The next one who asks, will have their sodding farm burnt down, their pigs castrated, the trees felled and the fancy bloody unicorns will find themselves without a horn. This is your final warning'

Is there a way to stop those game requests/notifications (from other people) appearing on your timeline?

lolz @Cleoriff ... ... it really pisses me orf when I get asked to play a game with someone ... I only play World of Warcraft, by myself & that's on my laptop ... I do not use Facebook to 'garner' friends = it's a tool which I use as I like ...

No @Anonymous unless you turn off notifications for all of Off Topic in your settings.
You get an email every time someone posts or starts a new thread in Off Topic whether you have posted on the thread or not....:smileysad:

I’m confused.. a new thread? Off topic? On Facebook? To stop game invites? or asking for things for games?

Oh god I'm so sorry @Anonymous I mixed up the threads. I simply didn't realise this was the FB one.
I honestly thought you were talking about Off Topic in general
Sorry if my senile brain caused confusion...

As for your original question about FB, just inbox people who invite you to join their games and ask them NOT to send you any further invites.....
Or post a new status making a general statement to all your friends to stop inviting you to join their games ?.
