Question is why would I want one? I barely see the point of a Kindle other than an easy link to buying books on Amazon but then I buy technical books which eReaders can never replicate properly.

For a Facebook facade on Android, guaranteed there will be far too many privacy holes for it to be practical for the target market. Rather FB would want all that data towards targetted advertising so you'd be forced to accept the defaults of "give me specially selected spam". Cue cheap phone to distract you from the real point of having FB o/s.

I'll presume it isn't an April Fools joke because its been mentioned many times before in the tech press and given FB are about to extend their campus, it looking serious in some form.
