So breaking news before the start of the 2024 season:

Lewis Hamilton appears to be making a move to Ferrari for the 2025 season

A major shock as he signed a two year contract with Mercedes last season. So whether it was one year with an opt out clause for 2025 is anyone's guess.

This seems to be anything but a silly season rumour!

NB As Charles Leclerc has just signed a contract extension with Ferrari, it looks as if Lewis would be replacing Carlos Sainz.

It won't be a popular move. Also, not sure how Mercedes will handle that news THIS year as Lewis is driving for them until the end of 2024.

Will they put all their eggs in George Russells basket? (Hamilton came 3rd in the drivers championship last year and Russell came 8th)

What a disaster for Lewis. On his last run to get out of Q1, annoyingly Magnussen knocked a bollard onto the track which went under the car of LH and he lost speed ended up in P18

Q2 Leclerc had lap time deleted so out of Q2. With his 10 place grid penalty he will drop to 20th.

Just hope there's some fireworks between George and Max

Apparently George refused a friendship gesture when Max asked him to sit next to him last night.at the anual dinner

So....get it on!!!

George went over, picked up the chair and moved it next to Lewis

Q3 and race grid. McLarens lock out front row with Sainz in 3rd.

With Leclerc and Albons penalty, this means Lewis will start 16th. Oh well, he can have some fun I suppose. 😂

All a bit frenetic really. Lewis organised that meal, Bottas insisting on paying. There was a pic of them at the meal and Lando posted. "No... the two you are thinking about, sat at opposite sides of the room. 😂"

I'm not interested in those 2 berks at Abu Dhabi.

Sky are trying to make and show a few segments about the brilliance of Lewis whilst he's been at Mercedes. Then the commentators have to break it up by talking about that pair.

TBH people are saying good for George standing up to Max. Nico Rosberg said, you have to remember that Max could well be coming to Merc in 2026 if Red Bull arent winning...and it won't be Kimi Antonelli who loses his place if Max chooses Merc.

Hulkenberg has a 3 place grid penalty for a pit lane infringement.

This means Verstappen Gasly and Russell move up a place.
