This is brilliant!

Everton have pledged £200,000 to help the family of a five-year-old Sunderland fan pay for cancer treatment in the United States.

Fundraisers are attempting to collect £700,000 to help Bradley Lowery, who was Sunderland’s mascot in their 3-0 defeat against the Toffees at the Stadium of Light on Monday evening.

And the Merseyside club have made a massive donation to boost the fund after learning of Bradley’s fight.

What a lovely gesture. I know people would be tempted to say it's small change compared to the transfer fees of some players nowadays....it is...but a great thing to do.

A lesson to other premier league clubs I think....

Absolutely. It may only be small change but it will save the life of that little lad and change the family's life forever.

A great gesture. If just three other Premier League teams matched it they'd have all the money raised.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

That was the final 200k they needed to reach the target, but they said they would carry on fundraising to help other kids in the same situation, so other clubs still could donate if they chose to.
