Laudable as these posts from the caninophiles and felinophiles may be, can any of the experts answer my wee question as to the purpose of the setting which allows us to choose the type of emoticon, please?  (Maybe I should say bow-wow or meow  ) The setting doesn't seem to do anything on my PC.

Oh, I do apologise!  Having neither cat nor dog (listed alphabetically to avoid any arguments) I am not au fait with the proper expressions to use. No offence intended.

As far as I know I don't have a rapper either (whatever that may be).
