I've just read about how Utrecht, a city in The Netherlands, has transformed 316 of its bus stops into bee stops! The photo above, and all the info I got, is from this article so head over there if you're curious to know more about this initiative.

In a nutshell, they've added green rooftops to those bus stops, which look gorgeous, help keep the city cool over Summer by storing rainwater, capture fine dust, but most importantly they contribute to the city's biodiversity, supporting insects like honey bees and bumblebees!

Would you be worried waiting for a bus at one of these stops, or would you be buzzing? wink

Have you spotted any similar great eco initiatives recently?

What a brilliant idea. I have no fear of bees at all and anything which helps with bio diversity has to be great for the planet.

Sadly having a fobia of bees (or really all buzzing insects) this would put me off using a bus haha

This is such a nice idea ~ very simple too.

Any help to give bees a little spot to enjoy is all good with me thumbsup

I would be delighted to stand at these bus-stops.
