Disney+ announcements

I'm fairly certain some members watch something on Disney+, so they would be interested to hear from the announcements that were made yesterday.

We got confirmed dates for a number of Marvel TV shows:

  • Wandavision releasing 15th Jan,
  • The Falcon and the Winter Soldier - March
  • Loki - May

There were confirmations about some other series (but no release dates):

  • Hawkeye will be out next Autumn
  • new series Ironheart was announced
  • Armor Wars with Don Cheadle as James Rhodes
  • Secret Invasion with Samual L Jackson and Ben Mendelsohn

The Star Wars universe is set to expand after the success of The Mandalorian - 10 new TV shows, plus 2 more films:

  • Rangers of the Republic and Ahsoka (spin off from the Mandalorian)
  • The Bad Batch
  • Andor
  • Obi Wan Kenobi (with Ewan McGregor and Hayden Christensen)
  • Lando
  • Rogue Squadron (film directed by Pattey Jenkins from Wonder Woman)

There are LOTS of new animated or live action films that have been announced as well as series based on previous films:

  • Raya and the Last Dragon is released 5th March
  • Baymax (series based on Big Hero 6)
  • Dug Days (based on the dog Dug from Up) is due in Autumn
  • A Cars series with Lightning McQueen and Mater is due Autumn 2022
  • Lightyear, a Buzz Lightyear origin is due summer 2022
  • Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild is due Spring 2022 (based on a character from the Ice Age films)

Not all good news though - they are upping the prices next year in March!

Re: Disney+ announcements

Is that the sound of miking your asests dry I hear?

Only thing that might be worth watching is Ashoka though it has a lot to live up to in my opinion with her appearance in the animated series (Clone Wars & Rebels).

Re: Disney+ announcements

I'll correct myself, The Bad Batch looks awesome and in the spirit of Clone Wars: everything seems to get blown up!

TBB made an appearance in the last series of The Clone Wars (animated) I think. Also: last ever episode of the Clone Wars is the one of most perfect endings to a series ever. Go watch all 7 series of it to appreciate how bad the latest Star Wars movies are.
