The new series of Dancing On Ice officially starts in January 2020, although there will be a Christmas Special in 2019.
Last year a few people posted on the thread including @Glory1 so we will see how we go this year.
The main news is Jason Gardiner has left the show and John Barrowman will replace him. So no more nasty comments (shame)
The contestants are....
Maura Higgins (from Love Island)
Michael Barrymore.
Joe Swash (ex Eastenders now TV Presenter)
H From Steps. He will make history as the first contestant to dance with a same sex partner.
(Not sure how that will work but let's wait and see)....
Perri Kiely (Dancer from Diversity) Let's see how Ashley Banjo marks him!!)
Lisa George (Who plays Beth Tinker in Coronation Street)
Libby Clegg (Registered Blind Paralympian)
Trisha Goddard (Talk show host/TV Presenter)
Lucrezia Millarini (ITV news presenter)
Kevin Kilbane (Former Footballer and TV Pundit)
Ben Hanlin. Magician (best known for TV show Tricked)
Caprice Bourret (Model, Actress Blah blah blah 
)
And that's it. I've counted and there seems to be more contestants this year?
It will be presented as usual by Phil and Holly.

Joe has the public vote without a doubt. He is a very improved skater though not as classy as Ben. I have an awful feeling it could be Ben and Libby in the skate off tonight.
If Libby is saved again, then there is no justice!!

OMG I so hope that`s not the case...
On past performances, it should be Joe and Libby in the skate off and Libby voted off.
But since when has justice ever had anything to do with talent shows? Remember the BGT Champions fiasco?

TBH I am not impressed with Chris and Jayne's marks this year. They constantly overmarked Ian and Matt for being the same sex couple. They are doing exactly the same with Libby..
I knew Chris would be like this when you watched his comments after her first skate. In tears he said, 'I just wish you could see what we can see'......

Judges Challenge. Solo Skate.
Ben and Carlotta: skated to A Kick in The head.
Excellent skate. Straight out and a lovely performance. Scored 37.5
Libby and Mark: Skated to Paradise.
Well she didn't come out of the tunnel alone and did quite well on her own. She wasn't at Bens level
No surprise that the judges gave her a totally overmarked. 39.0
Perri and Carlotta. Skated to Let's go crazy.
Fast and furious as expected. Much higher level than Libby. Ashley only gave him a 9 so that was stupid imo. However scored 38.5
Joe and Alex: Skated to Do You Think I'm Sexy
Pretty good skate with an excellent solo skate. Judges scored 38.0
Pretty annoyed at these marks. In my opinion Ben was best, Perri 2nd, Joe 3rd, Libby 4th.

I can`t figure out how Ben, who, in my opinion, was the best, got the lowest score...
and Libby scored more than Perri ???
Are the judges watching the same performances we are seeing???

So the second skate personal to the celeb.
Libby and Mark: Skated to 500miles.
At the risk of sounding anti Libby .... yet again a good skate, however she was never out of hold and wobbled a few times. Did NOT deserve a 10. Judges swayed more by the story than the skate
Scored 38.5
Ben and Carlotta: Song Lightning Bolt.
Skated very well , routine packed with content. A couple of wobbles. (undermarked in my opinion)
Scored 37.0
Perri and Vanessa: Romeo and Juliet.
Wow just wow, what a beautiful skate. Speechless. Well deserved 4 10's. Not a dry eye in the house. Scored 40.
Joe and Alex: Skated to 'Stars'.
A good skate to a song which meant a lot to him. Scored 38.0
Now we will see Cirque De Soleil on Ice. I can't wait.

Libby and Mark and Ben and Carlotta
Needless to say Libby and Mark are saved. (although John voted for Ben)
Not amused!!
If they keep voting with their hearts instead of their heads, I can see Libby winning this which will be the biggest farce going.
The fact they have been in the skate off 3 times should tell the judges something?

They were certainly determined Libby would get in the final.
They are patronising her if honest. She is NOT on the same level as the other three. Also well known fact that is far easier for female celebs than males. They get lifted and thrown about. Males have to do the lifting and throwing about.
As for her surprise? It was doing the headbanger, quite good for a female to do, apart from the fact she dropped to the floor like a sack of spuds!!
Jayne saying she was voting for her due to her speed over the ice? Excuse me? She was in hold all the time and dancing to a fast song. Bens was skating to a much more romantic slow tune. Did some great lifts and yet he was voted out. Pathetic. Quite pathetic
