The new series of Dancing On Ice officially starts in January 2020, although there will be a Christmas Special in 2019.
Last year a few people posted on the thread including @Glory1 so we will see how we go this year.
The main news is Jason Gardiner has left the show and John Barrowman will replace him. So no more nasty comments (shame)
The contestants are....
Maura Higgins (from Love Island)
Michael Barrymore.
Joe Swash (ex Eastenders now TV Presenter)
H From Steps. He will make history as the first contestant to dance with a same sex partner.
(Not sure how that will work but let's wait and see)....
Perri Kiely (Dancer from Diversity) Let's see how Ashley Banjo marks him!!)
Lisa George (Who plays Beth Tinker in Coronation Street)
Libby Clegg (Registered Blind Paralympian)
Trisha Goddard (Talk show host/TV Presenter)
Lucrezia Millarini (ITV news presenter)
Kevin Kilbane (Former Footballer and TV Pundit)
Ben Hanlin. Magician (best known for TV show Tricked)
Caprice Bourret (Model, Actress Blah blah blah )
And that's it. I've counted and there seems to be more contestants this year?
It will be presented as usual by Phil and Holly.
Looking forward to it.

Angry
I havn't voted for a while as it is so unfairly biased by the judges towards Libby
No justice
What a farce
Spoilt some simply beautiful skating by the other contestants

Absolutely true @Anonymous . Purely a fix to get Libby into the final. If it was down to the public vote (which it should be next week), then Libby will be gone. She has been in the bottom two for 3 weeks running.
I wasn't aware that DOI meant voting for the best skater with a disability. It's down to being the best skater. Full stop.

Last night, I said the skate off was fixed...

DOI The final tomorrow
All 3 contestants will dance twice, then the vote will be open. Third placed contestant will be out. The remaining 2 will dance the Bolero
Music for the two dances. 1 picked by the contestant as a previous skate and a new one called a Showcase Skate
Apparently Perri is going to attempt to include a move never seen before on DOI.

Am I right in thinking that the final is down to the viewers vote?
In other words, no sob sob "my heart tells me" biased saving from the judges?
I know that sounds bitter, but the judges` comments and votes last week were against public opinion and I want to see excellent skating rewarded in the final.

If they follow the the same format of previous years @Mi-Amigo , it will be public vote only.
The judges comment and may even mark the performance.... but their marks count for nothing at all.
The public decide the final two who will skate the Bolero.
So unless ITV fix the vote..... we can expect Joe and Perri to go through. (should have been Perri and Ben but there you go!!)
