No word on Judges, although we know Jayne Torville and Christopher Dean will be there.

Presenters.

Originally Stephen Mulhern was replacing Philip Schofield and WAS appearing with Holly Willoughby. However, as she has now left This Morning, it's doubtful whether she will be appearing.

So this thread can be shelved until January. 😂

I still can't find the music choices (Which annoys me intensely!!) Last year Tellymix used to post the music, 10 mins before the show started.

Other news:

Tippy Packard will no longer be skating with Eddie The Eagle, due to injury. She has been replaced with Vicky

Ogden.

So my search for the dances has them revealed! I joined the Digital Spy forum and they were posted yesterday.

Only 6 skaters performing tonight, so lots of padding!

Hannah and Andy - Break Free by Ariana Grande
Ryan and Amani - Sex On Fire by Kings Of Leon
Roxy and Sylvain - You Don’t Own Me by Saygrace
Amber and Simon - Hold On To Now by Kylie Minogue
Ricky and Robin - Gonna Fly Now by Bill Conti
Greg and Vanessa - Don’t Stop Me Now by Queen

Week One

The opening dance by professionals showcased what could be done 😂

Holly and Stephen looked great but he needs to pipe down a bit.

** VOTING ONLY ONLINE**. (Unfair in my opinion)

Judges looked ok. Well Oti, Jayne and Chris did. Ashley ...far too casual.

Greg and Vanessa. Don't Stop Me Now.

A good first skate. Very fast over the ice although performance needs improvement Scored 24.5

Roxy and Sylvain. You don't own me.

Did very well skating alone at start. A bit worried when performance started. Scored 20

Ricky and Robin. Gonna Fly Now

Very poor attempt. Hardly skated at all . Scored 12.5

Amber and Sylvain: Hold On To Now.

Excellent. Great spiral. Lovely overall performance. Scored 25

Hannah and Andy: Break Free.

Quite disappointing. Spent most of her time being lifted. Needs  more skating on ice Scored 19.5

Not sure we needed an appearance by Josie Gibson who has replaced Holly on This Morning!

Ryan and Amani. Sex on Fire.

Great skate. Loved the aeroplane lift . Good movement over the ice. Well done Ryan. Scored 26.5

Overall a good show spoilt by the adverts after every skate.

Posting now before this times out.

Posted before the show finished!

Dancing on Ice professionals skated a beautiful routine. Well done.

The couple in the skate off next week are:

Ricky and Robyn. ....(No surprise there!)

Ooooh I do like the DOI stage lighting background. Good start in presenting from both The Mulherne and The Willoughby so we could be forgetting The Schofield by week 3. I already have 😎 Mind you, he does need watch his neck movements as he remind me of a turtle at times.

I'll give everyone a pass this week on judging and outfits as nothing was offensive to warrant comment. Ok and just because, maybe Oti's "just had a baby you know" bow was a bit OTT.

Greg and Vanessa J: Solid start and rather unexpected. Needs to work on transitions and speed plus performance but for week 1 opening act of the series: one to watch.

Roxy and Sylvain: Hmmm. Sylvain needs to let the female skater attempt to do things by herself. Week 1 you can get away with but it will show up in later in technique and confidence. Not bad though but has to work on solo skills to progress.

Ricky and Robin: Downright awful. Seemed the only momentum was the push off at the start and I'm not sure he even did that. Lacked any ability in any area and the excuse of "look at where I was weeks ago" evaporated as his speed did after the first turn.

Amber and Simon: Ah The Love Island contestant who, shock and awe, may be an actual talent in the West End. Not that I want to see Love Island or Pretty Woman: The musical so I'll judge her on her merits on the ice. Very fluid though but like Roxy, needs to let go. Has a lot of potential but overmarked.

Hannah and Andy: Unfortunately once you've seen the other two females do exactly the hanging on for the entire routine, this was worse to watch even with the flicks and lifts. Was it me or did she come across as tired or had a drink or two beforehand as she didn't seem quite there?

Ryan and Amani: A totally unexpected strong contender here! Will obviously get better in all areas over the next few weeks and I suspect, will become a viewer favourite even without the Corrie connection.

@Cleoriff

Not sure we needed an appearance by Josie Gibson who has replaced Holly on This Morning!

Oh so that's why she was on to rub Holly's nose in it 🤣 Yeah no idea who she is and what the segment was about or who she is either. Yet we'll have many many more of these random appearances in the forthcoming weeks. Yippee applied with a heavy dose of applied sarcasm. Also available in lemon flavour.

Really liked the pro-routine, must check out Florence & The Machine's 3 songs I like again.

As for the online only voting, why the change? Guess it's a lot cheaper and less prone to er, extra voting.

Great opening show in my opinion.

My two favourite performances were Amber and Sylvian, and Ryan and Robyn.

Agreed with most of the judges` scores.

Reasonable performance from most of the others - except Hannah and Ricky.

Thought Hannah was nervous and spent more time being lifted than skating.

Ricky hardly skated at all and deserves to be in skate-off next week.

Just noticed I wrote Amber and Sylvain in my write up. (So Sylvain is skating with two women?) 😂

Amber is skating with Simon who is new to the show.

Really enjoyed the show.

Fed up with the lengthy interruptions by adverts though.

Holly looked good & presented well, as usual, but not sure of Mulhern.

I particularly enjoyed Greg Rutherford's performance.

Some of the female contestants were holding onto their partners too much and went for too many lifts.

Disappointed in Ricky Hatton's efforts on the ice.

Looking forward to next week's show.

Thank you @Cleoriff for posting songs for this week`s skating.

Some interesting ones - Eddie the Eagle skating to Living on a Prayer could be fun... 😂
