Some anthems in there! How they come across on ice is a different matter but then again, we won't have the DOA torturing us with their unique interpretations.

However, had a listen of that Grace Wonderwall and we'll be in for a torturous couple of minutes. There's doing a cover, there's ripping off a song but ripping it off and screaming over a classic "your own way but changing the words" is just awful. Anyway, we should start a campaign for this tune for Eddie:

Oh yeah, absolutely it happened🤣

2nd Week.

Good to see Dan Whiston in opening skate.

Claire and Colin.Holding out for a Hero.

Did skate out of hold for 4 seconds!  Her forward crossovers were good but didn't like being out of hold.

Scored 22

Miles and Vanessa. Hard to Handle

I think Miles will go far. Excellent first skate. Complicated  routine. Scored 26

Adele and Mark. Clearly

A lot about her cancer which is now cleared. Great stag lift and lovely posture. Mark fell over so I think they were overmarked with 27.5!

Ricky and Annette. Body Groove.

Very wary on the ice. Back crossovers were ok but poor routine Scored 20

Lou and Brendyn. Hung Up.

Lou skated out of hold more than anyone else! Good routine though a tad shaky TOTALLY UNDERMARKED!

Scored 19.5

Eddie and Vicky. Living on a Prayer.

Came in on an Eagle. Great skate although has done speed skating before.

Excellent routine. Full revolution managed. Great first performance Scored 27.5 (well deserved)

During voting we heard next week is Movie Week

Greg to  Pulp Fiction

Roxy to Beetle Juice

Amber to Barbie

Hannah to Barbie.

Lovely skate by Chris and Jayne.

Skate off

Lou and Brendyn v Ricky and Robyn.

Ricky 'skated slightly better than last week.

Lou skated beautifully. Well Done.

Lou and Brendyn saved. Ricky is going home.

See you next week!

Pretty good opening though that Dan Winston did look a little out of place 😉

Guess Ashley's suit was done under candlelight given the total mismatch in size. Shockingly bad fashion choice. But he could have been going for the Lurch look:

Lurch_%28Addams_Family%29

Need to sack the writers who write the jokes as Schofield as its too obvious Stephen Mulherne is just reading through them in Schofields tone. Overall, good show all round. Bar the pointless guest of the week being Airfryer from Masked Singer. Did Holly really expect a conversation piece filler? Reminds me, I missed last nights show too.

Claire: Holding out for a hand-out. Hmm, performance yes she's got that down to a tee but far off the pace for skills. A couple more weeks before the exit. Don't think Colin will be doing too many lifts and carrys after this week.

Miles: Hard to Handle. Oh perfect title for this skate for the other contestants to compare with and yes, looks like a strong contender over the forthcoming weeks. Has Vanessa Bauer as his partner and that means it will get better and better. Might need to work on his beer belly though 😂

Adele: Clearly one to go far. Best female skater so far but overmarked. Somewhere between good and very good for week 1. Judges over marking this one. Hope her solo skating matches the performance next week.

Ricky: Body Grooving: Performance, popular and powerful? 2 out of 3 ain't bad but too stiff. However, we've seen this before and definitely needs to up his skills and speed as he'll be going home early. Potential but needs to work harder after tonight.

Lou: Hung Up the phone after 10 seconds. Started off well but went rapidly down Eddie's ski slope with the routine. Perhaps the performance was a bit contrived? Another one who has the potential and looking at an earlier than expected exit. More below.

Eddie: Living on a Prayer and performing miracles! Loved it. The eagle arrival was a bit cheesy but what a routine to end the show with. To top it off, he even had skills to match the performance! Bit unfair for Chris Dean to point out he can't do lifts though.

Also: Chris needs body popping lessons 😂

Skate-off: pretty much a done deal within 10 seconds for Ricky Hatton. Or the more accurate, 10 seconds after Eddie had finished his skate. What a difference this skate-off was for Lou Sanders. Far far better, performance and technically than her opening routine. Definitely seemed more natural than contrived. More of that please.

Still nothing (on 5 sites) about the music for Sunday.

However, there is a change to this weeks show.

All will be skating but there will NOT be a skate off.

The contestant with the lowest mark, combined with the public vote will be eliminated.

No reason given for this unless it's a time factor?

Some very interesting tunes in there this week. Interesting to see what looks they're going for and whether the look will be better than the skating for some. Going to say Claire Sweeny might be the look of the night.....

Guessing there's no point in having a vote this week giving the numbers. Not as if the football is going to overun - FA Cup weekend so bar added on-time causing an issue, I can't see it being time related. They could drop the pointless celeb bit and a lot of the filler material but that would be too obvious wouldn't it.

Could be more to with the rather more obvious reason of costume changes causing a time issue being movie week.

WEEK 3

Judges looked great  apart from Ashley! Holly wore a very daring dress.

Ryan and Amani : Pure Imagination.

A good opening skate although a couple of wobbles Scored 25

Roxy and Sylvain : Jump In Line

Ok skate but no skating alone. Again plenty of lifts from Sylvain  Scored 24

Hannah and Andy : Let it Go.

Very nervous after fall in rehearsal. Good drape lift but no skating alone Scored 20

Greg and Vanessa. You never Can Tell

What a great skate. Fast and skilled. Excellent Scored 28.5

Claire and Colin : Cruella De Vil

Better than last week although no skating alone. Scored 24

Lou and Brendyn. Hold on.

Good routine and skated alone. UNDERMARKED AGAIN Scored 22

Eddie and Vicky. Soul Bossa Nova.

Plenty of skating alone but very wobbly in parts. Poor attempt at skating backwards. Scored 21

Miles and Vanessa. A Thousand Years.

A really beautiful skate. Two rotational lifts. So much skating alone. Loved it Scored 29

Adele and Mark. Clubbed to Death

What an excellent routine. Great attack and speed over the ice. Scored 29

Amber and Simon. What was I made for.

I think I must be losing the plot! Yes it was a good skate..yes Simon held her in the scorpion lift (never done before on DOI) ...However, she never skated alone. So I think she was overmarked. Scored 31

Then voting was open. Someone sang 😂.... (Ariane but not Grande 🤣)

No surprise that Hannah had the least votes so was voted off.

Missed first skate.

A few didn`t skate alone this week - in my opinion...

- Hannah, who deserved to be voted off;

- Roxy - reasonable skate, relied on lifts;

- Claire - nothing special;

- Amber - grossly over-marked [judges` favourite ??? ]

Best performance of the night, in my opinion, was Miles and Vanessa.

Lou and Brendyn were underscored by judges - why ???

others were OK...
