LOU SANDERS Stand Up Comedian.

RICKY NORWOOD ACTOR (Eastenders)

ADELE ROBERTS Broadcaster and  DJ

ROXY SHAHIDI ACTRESS (Emmerdale)

RYAN THOMAS Actor -Coronation Street. (His brother Adam currently on SCD.)

So 12 contestants currently. I think that will be it.

No word on Judges, although we know Jayne Torville and Christopher Dean will be there.

Originally Stephen Mulhern was replacing Philip Schofield and WAS appearing with Holly Willoughby. However, as she has now left This Morning, it's doubtful whether she will be appearing.

So this thread can be shelved until January. 😂

Some of I`ve never heard of [don`t watch soaps or reality TV like Love Island] but nevertheless I will be watching DOI.

As said, remains to be seen whether Holly will be presenting.

As you know, I do watch the soaps (Emmerdale and Corrie) so do know a fair few contestants (More than I did when SCD started.)

People get confused with Adam and Ryan Thomas (Brothers) Adam is currently in SCD and was in Corrie. Adam was in Emmerdale

The only people I didn't know were Amber and Miles.

Ricky Norwood had been in Eastenders a long time, so I knew of him.

Stephen is in the very funny Gogglebox. (Never miss it)

Also Claire Sweeney has been acting for a long time. Started in Brookside and has appeared in numerous musicals. Now in Corrie since May of this year!

Have to admit, this year's, rather next year's celebs are more well-known to me. Claire Sweeney believe it or not was in the first series of Strictly way back in 2004. Which means next years Strictly will be 20 years so that may be different...did I catch a glimpse of her in an ad  for a new TV show: Murder She wrote on the Love Boat on Channel 5?

Back to DOI '24. No idea who Lou Sanders or Miles or Amber so difficult to decide who gets the award of Billy No-Mates 🤣 Ricky Norwood did the SCD Christmas special in 2013 though could be a good skater and the personality of the series. Greg Rutherford should be an interesting watch being ex-Strictly too. 

Though Stephen Lustig-Webb appearing is the definition of redefining the bottom of the barrel celebrity. 

Will wait and see if someone gets injured and gets replaced in the meantime. 

The more interesting duo will be who presents. Will they stick with Holly or bring out a totally new person (my vote is the T-Rex from a few years back) and with two new judges to freshen things up?

My money is on Ricky Hatton and Greg Rutherford ..... they both will have good balance ... & ... are used to having trainers (not the footwear) ... ... ... The rest can go 'Do One' ... !!! ... & ... Probably Will !!!

Sad to know about the reason behind Holly's understandable decision to exit Daytime TV (which I don't watch)

Let's Hope DOI does us all a big big favour unlike SCD, which has descended into He is in love with Her ... or ... He is not getting along with Her ... & ... vice versa.

I don't think we will see Holly after her police escort from This Morning. Apparent the police foiled an intended kidnap and murder plot. They have arrested the man responsible but Holly did issue a statement which was intended for fans of This Morning stating she was leaving This Morning to spend more time with her family. People tend to think her TV career is over as she would be too concerned and worried after police revealed the plot on her life.

So sad if that's the case, as she was a class act who did bring a sense of fun to DOI as well as some beautiful clothes. Also she worked well with Steven Mulhern who stood in for Philip when he developed Covid.

Oh Well..it's all a wait and see situation.

PS I do remember Christine Bleakly hosted for a year or so during Holly's absence. I hope she doesn't come back as she had all the personality of a carrot. Also, I hope against hope, that ITV do not choose Alison Hammond who appears to be on TV everywhere currently. Awful woman!

She seems so natural & caring in front of the camera

We have to wish her and her family All the Best and hope they all have some Peace of Mind.

Breaking News (literally) Stephen from Gogglebox has broken his ankle during training and has had to leave.

He's been replaced by this guy :

So Eddie The Eagle Edwards. Now as he came last when he represented the UK in the Winter Olympics, I'm not sure of any Ice Dance Skills.

Still I'm sure he'll give it a go. 😂
