The BBC have announced that two patients in the UK have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.
No further details have been given other than they are both members of the same family and are receiving specialist NHS care.

At present, 83 Britons and 27 foreign nationals are flying back to the UK from Wuhan, the Chinese city at the centre of the outbreak.
The flight is due to land at RAF Brize Norton at 13:30 GMT.
The UK passengers will then be taken to Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral and quarantined for two weeks.

A lot of feeling that those given the AZ vaccine, with 60% efficacy, over the Pfizer, with 88% efficacy have been short-changed.
Then we have the whole clotting thing... So could it be 'bad' batches? Some think so. Others favour a chance happening depending on how the body processes the vaccine, link here from FT this week, PDF'd by me (hate paywalls!).
I think either is probably better than not getting the jab, all being equal.
And today, a single-dose jab was announced, not read up on it yet.

I've heard and read about the single dose vaccine @pgn .
It's produced by a company called Janssen and the UK has ordered 12 million doses.
Interesting that BBC state The vaccine was 85% effective in stopping severe illness from Covid-19 in trials and has met expected safety standards.
So not preventing Covid then, just 85% effective in stopping severe illness.
Having said that, none of the vaccines prevent Covid, you can still get it with less effects.
It's been approved for use in anyone over 18 and will probably be used as the booster for the elderly.

20 million doses, yes, seems to be a good booster dose - although the booster, like tetanus (if done within the correct time period) as an example, could ideally be a single jab of whatever you got the first time around.
I would have thought, at any rate.
I agree @pgn although we went with what we got initially. At that time we were extremely pleased with any vaccine being produced and approved so quickly.
Healthwise, physically and mentally, I felt 100% better once I had both my jabs. No-one could or should undermine the benefits of improved mental health nowadays.
I have seen outgoing, gregarious, extroverted people crippled mentally as lockdown took it's toll.
It will take a long time for the nation to recover.

You mentioned recently above ^ ^ ^ ^ ^ that you hate 'paywalls!'
What are paywalls ?
Is it something I do / don't do ... like ... express an opinion upon reading / hearing something ... but ... without producing a blue link ? ..... just unable to do that ... because ... I am a Permanent Tech Novice.
* Just curious *
You talk sense ... except ... when posting a 'funny' on say 'The Laughter' thread.

Hi, good to see you back, WispaRed7 - I can't get over the new persona 👍🤣
Paywalls are the trick some newspaper websites have of letting you read the headline and first para of an article, then force you to log in, often with a paid subscription, in order to read the full article. In the UK, the Times, Telegraph and FT are some that are guilty of this, as an example. Some Irish newspapers do the same, and in NI, the BelTel (Belfast Telegraph) and The Newsletter also wallop most of the propaganda they print behind a "Premium Article"banner - I hate it. The Guardian in the UK begs/nags you for a donation, but does not stop you reading the full article.
Sense, thanks! Even seriousness needs to be offset with humour now and then 😆
