The BBC have announced that two patients in the UK have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.

No further details have been given other than they are both members of the same family and are receiving specialist NHS care.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-51325192

At present, 83 Britons and 27 foreign nationals are flying back to the UK from Wuhan, the Chinese city at the centre of the outbreak.

The flight is due to land at RAF Brize Norton at 13:30 GMT.

The UK passengers will then be taken to Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral and quarantined for two weeks.

Having to shell out 9k a year hasn't lessened their inclination to paaaaarty!

Then they feel entitled, to complain that 27grand over three years leaves them in a burger joint flipping patties afterwards!

I see Wee Jimmy is wanting to give NHS staff a bit of a bonus.
Whether you be a shop worker, Nurse, Police, Fire, cleaner or bin man.. you all kept on doing what you do, can’t remember hearing a single moan from any of them

and should all be rewarded equally (and let’s not forget the NHS already has a Thursday night clap ;-/ )

Today in Wales, we now to get a even more bizarre set of rules made in law within hours. Pubs, restaurants and cafes must close at 6pm and cannot sell alcohol. Apparently they are now the cause of the "increase of infections" because a crayon written report says so. Firebreak? What firebreak?

I really cannot see how these places who have spent serious money, taking precautions and still have to pay for a licence to sell alcohol (with all those application restrictions) are being told no no, its all your fault you're spreading the virus in the evening.

Oh you can apply for a grant to help to pay for the rates but if its anything like last time, you'll need to login to a particular website at a particular time, write a 1000 word essay in 2 minutes then press submit to discover its limited and your application has been denied because you were too slow. Or discover you're not actually eligible because you've been rated at 1p higher than the max level.

Sigh, they are apparently discussing if we're allowed to go into England. Read that as "only before 6pm" because the WAG wouldn't like you to be eating there spending money out of Wales...

I'll just remind you this is a Labour Welsh government in control so look forward to more ridiculousness next year when Lockdown Part 3 (ETA: 4 Jan 2021 at 6pm) reasoning reduces to "its because you wanted Christmas".

I have made mention of that stupid no alcohol rule @sheepdog on the tier thread. I don't think I've heard of anything so stupid in my life.

Nearly as stupid as some halfwit stating that a Scotch Egg constitutes a 'hearty meal'...

@gmarkjRe Ministers and the pay rise. Piers Morgan yesterday, was trying and failing to get Matt Hancock to say publicly that he would refuse a pay rise.

A lot of waffle from  Hancock and no he wouldn't say it at all!!
