The BBC have announced that two patients in the UK have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.

No further details have been given other than they are both members of the same family and are receiving specialist NHS care.

https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-51325192

At present, 83 Britons and 27 foreign nationals are flying back to the UK from Wuhan, the Chinese city at the centre of the outbreak.

The flight is due to land at RAF Brize Norton at 13:30 GMT.

The UK passengers will then be taken to Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral and quarantined for two weeks.

Not good news, @Cleoriff, about the sticky blood. Heparin all-round, then? Or warfarin, as a distant aunt has had to take for decades.

They spoke about that as an option @pgn  but it's not possible with many patients who have other underlying health problems.

To put this in context, he was speaking to an audience of black college & university graduates. Naturally he plays the race card almost immediately rather than encouraging the achievements of said graduates. Whats worse he's used this occasion to attack the leaders again (collectively not just the current president but the state governors aren't exactly exuding confidence), using a platform that shouldn't be used and effectively turned it into a campaign promo.

Or is it deflecting attention from a small but growing problem of his actions in office coming to light that er, lead to the election of Trump. Expect to hear more from from Obama in the next few months as becomes the spokesman for Joe Biden.

None of that matters in relation who Obama was addressing. The fact that he was chosen to address those students at all, speaks volumes.

It's not unknown for past leaders in any government to cast blame on their successor.Trump certainly pulls no punches re Obama. He criticises him at every opportunity.

In relation to Covid 19 Trump has proved time and time again, he is not fit to lead the most powerful country in the world.

Wild claims over the past months that it was a hoax, his pathetic non attempts to lockdown his country, assurances that it would be gone by April and that the 'sun would kill it' etc etc etc. Add to this final body blow, showing crass stupidity when openly discussing the possibility of killing it off by light or ingesting disinfectant. All claims which caused his medical team to hang their heads in shock.

Storming out of press conferences when asked legitimate questions by the press.

Covid 19 is nothing but an inconvenience to Trump, who sees this as some sort of plot to interfere with his election campaign.

He 'may' have been a good businessman. He is a pathetically stupid and dangerous president.

Even @Bambino, born and bred in the US, has said more than once, that Trump makes him ashamed of being an American.

I'm still ashamed @Cleoriff . Even moreso than ever. The US couldn't have anyone more incompetent in charge than we do right now. It's almost certain we will have a second wave of the virus because everything has opened back up too soon. The State of Texas recorded it's highest increase in cases yesterday. Since restrictions have been relaxed they have been averaging 1,000 new cases per day. Yesterday the number went up to 1,800. Trump has encouraged the reopenings.

Just to put this into perspective about President Obama being critical of him, this is a tweet from 2014. I've fact checked it. Says it all, really.

Thanks for your comments @Bambino

Dreadful news about Texas and it's citizens. I suspect the cases of Covid 19 will be just the same (proportionately) in other States.

Trump's arrogance never ceases to astound me. Also his racism is appalling. I watched a press conference when a female Chinese reporter (born in the US) asked Trump if he thought the US would ever be free of Covid 19. His reply was 'she would be better placed than him to answer that question'.

The inference was clear. When the reporter asked what he meant by that, he ended the interview and walked out.

Disgusting.

While we are on the subject of Trump, his latest 'medical guidance' to the US people is to take

Anti-malarial drugs to prevent Covid 19!!!  Apparently he has been taking these drugs for 2 weeks now.

After his jaw dropping statement, medical experts appeared on Fox news to warn people this is a very dangerous idea. Can cause Heart Arrhythmia's and death.

What a leader!!
