At present, 83 Britons and 27 foreign nationals are flying back to the UK from Wuhan, the Chinese city at the centre of the outbreak.
The flight is due to land at RAF Brize Norton at 13:30 GMT.
The UK passengers will then be taken to Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral and quarantined for two weeks.

Conversely, I would argue and ask why we are still allowing refugees into the country. This is a practice which has NEVER stopped since the pandemic began.
Someone, somewhere brought the Indian variant here. It didn't just hop over the ocean on it's own.

It looks as if the government will delay opening the country on the expected June 21st.
Stage four of the government's roadmap out of lockdown would see all legal limits on social contact removed.
But many scientists have called for the reopening to be delayed to enable more people to be vaccinated and receive second doses amid rising cases of the Delta variant.

So July 19th is the delayed date that we are 'opening the country,'according to the PM today.
An added 4 weeks.

We must learn to live with it "quote" Boris
Even more dangerous times more of the same but worse.
Can only watch the consequences..
We can live with it and we can get rid of it in my opinion IF big if we are all sensible.. haven't seen much of that.

I don't think we will ever fully eradicate it. This is the worst virus we've ever had anywhere. It mutates and becomes even more virulent.
I said a good while back on this thread, that we would have to learn to live with it and I've seen no scientific evidence to prove otherwise.
Scientists and researchers are working on different vaccines and hopefully will soon provide one which gives us a greater rate of protection.
I can see us needing these vaccines on a yearly basis as a booster. That on it's own is one of the ways we will learn to live with it.
What we can't do again, is lockdown the country or parts of it, otherwise this whole 18 months will have been a waste of time.
