Coronavirus in the UK

The BBC have announced that two patients in the UK have been diagnosed with the coronavirus.

No further details have been given other than they are both members of the same family and are receiving specialist NHS care.

At present, 83 Britons and 27 foreign nationals are flying back to the UK from Wuhan, the Chinese city at the centre of the outbreak.

The flight is due to land at RAF Brize Norton at 13:30 GMT.

The UK passengers will then be taken to Arrowe Park Hospital on the Wirral and quarantined for two weeks.

All change now for UK travellers to Spain. As from midnight tonight, holidaymakers will have to self isolate for 14 days after return to the UK.

This is due to spikes in Covid19 in various Spanish areas.

This has thrown the travel industry into absolute chaos.

Just catching up on how viral immunity, antibodies and the like, might apply to SARS-CoV-2 virus... We have a way to go yet, given how infectious this particular virus is, it seems.

Who knew how this pandemic would affect us all in different ways?

All dependent on our own personal circumstances.

I have friends who are totally accepting of it and recently travelled to their apartment in Tenerife.

Others who are absolutely frightened of going outdoors now as they have been isolated/locked down for so long.

Then there are those totally selfish idiots who break every rule and have no interest in conforming to what has now become the new normal.

Personally, I think it will be with us for a very very long time. We have to learn to live with it, however hard that may be.

I think it will be too, it’s the worry of a second wave, that’s equally as unnerving.
Its not something I ever imagined would happen. Maybe I was wishful thinking, I don’t know.
