Christmas on The Community - 2023

Good afternoon everyone 😊

As the 25 December 2023, is only 40 days away, I wanted to drop a post to discuss what we can do on The Community over the festive period 🎄

I would LOVE IT, if more members could get involved next month, when we run some marvelous merry activities 

Please share your ideas by commenting below and what you can get involved with, so we can confirm a plan!! 

It would be fantastic to come up with some new content that we've not previously seen on The Community 😎

I will try to join in but I always find Christmas to be such a very busy time of year. At least I normally have some spare time on Xmas Day so I will check in here and keep the likes of @RunrigForever company.

Wrote my cat themed Christmas cards in a cafe today ... my special Christmas cards are in the post ... don't send many as too high postage costs, but a few local ones to give by hand ... my son rang today to let me know he will be with me when I celebrate my 70th birthday in January = a meal for 10 close family & friends - all of whom will be travelling near or far by car ... I don't dress a Christmas tree and the few cards I receive will be on my kitchen window sill ... already have one hand made card from a grammar school friend = cat themed & colourful ... party food and ready meals in the freezer for me ... my dear mum Olwen, bless her, used to say 'It's Only a Meal' ... must look out my baggy Christmas t-shirt = purple and glistening with a starry tree xx

I used to be an organised woman ... then life got in the way = lolz ..... perhaps, as I lovingly approach being 70 (God-willing / All being well) becoming of my 30 score years & 10 + finishing the 7 Ages of Man = I am back into my stride so-to-speak ..... Ha Ha Ha ....... I used to like filing when doing office work because I was continuing a system for everyone else to use - doing something useful - if that doesn't sound too off-beat ?

@jonsie and @Oxonian i'm sorry to hear what happened, my PMs are always open if you ever wanted to drop me a message. It's also good to see our Community is coming together to look out for each other over the Xmas period ❤️

Below is a rough timetable of some possible activities over the Xmas period, this is open to be edited, so please let me know if you would like anything added, changed or removed. The below dates could even be extended.

Some days are showing as BLANK, as I won't be online on these days, so if anyone would like to fill these gaps with something, please let me know and i'll update the table.

Thanks for those kind words. I am absolutely fine but just find it difficult to get into the Christmas spirit.

I will join in this community's activities as time permits.

Hope to join in with everything (except Boxing Day @Mi-Amigo). That's our family Christmas day.

We all meet at ours, exchange presents, then out for a meal at the local carvery.
