As Christmas is on it's way I will allow myself the luxury of a post that has nothing to do with medicine or Nursing. LOL

Has anyone seen the latest Sainsburys advert? Shown for the first time tonight (I think)...

Made in partnership with the Royal British Legion and inspired by events in 1914. A real winner I think...

Amazing.
How wonderful is that tribute to those poor victims of war, all of them.

I like it, It gets a ten from Len.

But seriously, nice to see a good tribute about the war rather than senseless sacrifice.

A well polished tribute.

In the trenches with a bar of chocolate sent from home...as opposed to seeing tables groaning with a ton of food...half of which will go to waste.....

Add that to the 1 day friendship between two opposing sides at war. To mark the 100 year anniversary

A very different take on Christmas.....

(Up to today the John Lewis advert with Monty the penguin was my favourite) wink

According to the Metro they issued this statement...

While some may question why the supermarket is using WWI as a promotional tool, the advert is a joint venture with the Royal British Legion. The chocolate bar featured in the advert will be on sale for £1, with all profits going to the charity.

I expect so...and as you are the financial expert I wont disagree....:smileywink:

But then it has to be said RBL entered into this quite happily. I doubt any of the other Christmas adverts will be giving anything to charitable organisations.....? (Unless you know anything different?) tongue
