Changes in the Internet industry

Hi guys,

We came across this great article from the Guardian regarding the immense growth of Internet usage in recent years:

The New Age of Internet.

Check it out. There are some surprising results. Such as in 2010, Internet usage accounted for 8% of UK GDP! I also had no idea that Britain's Internet usage infrastructure was envied as much as it is.

What do you think of the figures? Do you think Internet usage is moving too fast or to slow? Feel free to comment below.

Re: Changes in the Internet industry

I think the internet use will keep on growing and become a huge part of people's lives in the future, both mobile and landline, which means if this is true, and I'm aware it's only a rumour, I think it would be the wrong way to go:

I stopped reading the article when it mentioned "UK" and "advanced" in the same statement - the UK has incredibly slow internet compared to other countries, I wonder what others envy us for...

Intriguing. I must admit online booking does account for 78% of my gross profits.

If anything I thought the figure would be higher.
