COD - Advanced Warfare

As all gamers will know,a new Call Of Duty was released today.....what are everyones opinions?

Personally i feel the franchise has gone rapidly downhill with no real innovation in graphics or gameplay. Instead of calling it Advanced Warfare I would call it Titanfall 2!!

I would really like to see the series go back to its roots and also make the multiplayer less frantic and more tactical.

Comparing Call Of Duty to Battlefield is like comparing a Nokia 3110 to a Samsung Galaxy Note 4.......it still amazes me how Call Of Duty is so popular Help

Hi @Toby

I believe the game developers originally stated that it was a new engine that had been built from scratch although there may be some old lines of code from the previous system included.

As it turns out, that was a wee white lie and its actually an upgrade of the same engine used in COD:Ghosts which was an upgrade of the system used in Quake 3.

So essentially COD players are now just playing Quake 5 wink

As PapaDug says.
The core engine is the same but they have redone the graphical side and added support for rendering, animation, physics, dynamic lighting, tessellation and audio tweaks.
Basically a polish of the modified version of the modified version.
