Britain`s Got Talent returns to ITV tonight [Sunday 30 August] at 6.30pm with a one-off show - Britain`s Got Talent: The Finalists Revealed, which was pre-recorded [before Simon Cowell`s back injury] and will show the judges reducing 200 acts to 40.

The 40 acts chosen by the judges will join the Golden Buzzer acts:

Sing Along With Us, singing group - David`s Golden Buzzer; Fayth Ifel, 12year old singer - Simon`s Golden Buzzer; Nabil Abdulrashis, comedian; Jon Courtney, comedy singer - Ant & Dec`s Golden Buzzer; and Honey and Sammy, mother and daughter singers - Amanda`s Golden Buzzer

in the semi-finals.

The first of five pre-recorded semi-finals will be screened on ITV next Saturday [5 September], with the judges picking one act to go through to the final, and the public voting for another act once the episode is shown.

The final will be shown live - without Simon Cowell in the hotseat, who will be replaced by Ashley Banjo.

There have now been 7500 complaints to ofcom about the performance by Diversity.

The performance was set to a spoken word poem The Great Realisation by Tomfoolery which reflects on  the Coronavirus lockdown.....but then continued to add narration about Black Lives Matter.

These words were added "Another disease, deep rooted in our system, fear, hate and ignorance but racism was the symptom"....

Sad people who feel the need to complain about that!!

Hopefully, this weeks performances will generate nothing but laughter. Not sure whether Ashley will be allowed to say anything about this furore.

Thank you for posting @Cleoriff and @Mi-Amigo

It isn't fair is it?

The poem is poignant and the line added at the end Cleo

Based on that video, I'd say the majority of complaints will probably be related to the renactment of the George Floyd knee on neck or the in-your-face political standpoint of BLM on prime time television by an act. If Ashley want to make his point of view via his art fine, you want to do it on prime time TV, better be prepared for a long time "exploring other avenues".

I know that's the reason for the complaints @sheepdog.

In my opinion, although it was making a political statement it was also telling a story of the changes over the past 6 months.

My issue is related to the 'bandwagon jumpers'.

A 1000 complaints initially, jumping to over 7000, 5 days after it was televised.

Ashley was interviewed pre BGT on This Morning. He said 'I have put a lot of thought into our routine for the show and I really hope I've got it right. The name of the group is Diversity and that's what we are aiming to show'.

In fairness, they have also received 1000's more positive messages of support.

It will be interesting to see if it's mentioned this weekend.

Slightly disappointed with tonight, apart from 3 acts

Souparnika Nair ..... Good voice for a 10 year old but not for me

Damien Brian ....Magician. Excellent. Top 3 for me

Class Dynamix... Another kids group with a message about bullying. Again they weren't allowed in the studio so something lost I think

Allen Finnegan. Vicar/Comedian. Very nervous and not as good as his audition

Aaron and Jasmine. Fusion dancers. Very good, enjoyed them. Top 3 for me

Amanda and Miracle. Whilst I love the fact she saves dogs...and Miracle was rescued from a Chinese meat wagon, her magic wasn't good and we only saw Miracle at the end

Honey and Sammy... Not sure why they got a golden buzzer. Quite weak tonight I thought.

The Coven. Absolutely brilliant, Class act of the night. Top 3 for me.

It all remains to be seen if the public agree and also the judges. rofl

The judges chose the 3 acts, The 10 year old singer, The Coven and Honey and Jasmine.

It was a split vote between Aaron and Jasmine and The Coven

Sadly Amanda had the casting vote and chose Arron and Jasminerolling_eyes

Don't like this voting. I had hoped the public would vote and the judges choose between the top 3.
