What TV programmes do you miss, or too young to see at the time, and would love to see reshown?
I know that some old programmes are repeated on channels such as Dave, Yesterday, Drama, Gold -
feel free to mention any that you miss and are pleased on any of these, or other channels, as I for one might have missed them.
Here are a few of mine, I`d love to see reshown:
The Liver Birds - with the lovely Polly James and Nerys Hughes
The Prisoner
Dave Allen Show

When we saw it in the 60's it had a cult following and we never missed an episode.
It certainly did a hell of a lot for tourism in Portmeirion, Wales.
I first saw The Prisoner in the US. Watched with my mum and neither of us liked it or understood it. Saw it again when I came here and somehow it made more sense and I loved it. But that was in the '70s. Don't know if it would have the same appeal now.

Thanks to those who remember The Prisoner with Patrick Macgoohan, who, of course, was also in another TV series I miss - Danger Man...
Being a lover of "pirate" radio, I well remember one episode - "Not So Jolly Roger" filmed on "pirate radio" station broadcasting from a fort in the Thames estuary in the 60s.

Allegedly, the opening scene in The Prisoner is John Drake (Danger Man) resigning...
Totally agree, I think re-runs of Danger Man would attract a large audience.

Did any of you ever watch the 80s show Sledge Hammer? I just googled it to see if that's what it was actually called and saw the name even has ! at the end, so "Sledge Hammer!" which fits the show so well.

I'd watch it, I loved this show. Was a fan of Patrick McGoohan. I had quite a crush on him in my younger days

Not one I recall but I'm not great on names of TV shows. What was it about @Marjo?

Actually something is coming back to me. Was this the show with the useless police derective who was constantly like a bull in a china shop; bashing down doors and getting himself into hot water?
It was very funny if we're talking about the same show @Marjo.

Yes that's it @Glory1! When something was starting to happen, e.g. they had to deal with some dangerous situation, he always declared "trust me, I know what I'm doing!" which was always followed by something accidentally breaking etc.
I'd like to watch this show again. It was very silly. It was partly a parody of sorts about other cop shows and movies I think.
