Boris Johnson will resign as Tory leader today but will remain as PM until the Autumn.

He will continue to serve as prime minister until the autumn to allow a Tory leadership contest to take place

In case anyone is concerned that he didn't actually resign yesterday, this makes for interesting reading - basically what he has done is given away control of what, if any, role he may play in UK government/politics after his speech yesterday outside No. 10.
