I have all ways had my phone on the light screen and battery seems to waste a way quickly. But some one at work said it's much better to have your phone on dark all the time cause the battery doesn't drain as quick is this true

Not too sure of that validity or not

My phone is always on dark mode and I find battery consumption good plus I find it easier on the eyes

Opinion seems to be split on Google

Changing from light to dark mode reduces the phone's power consumption by 42% at 100% screen brightness. When the brightness level is 50%, switching from light mode to dark mode saves 9 % of the battery, and when the brightness level is 30%, the saving is only 3 %.

Does dark mode actually save battery life and is more eco-friendly? | Dodonut

Only way to check is run for a week in light and then a week in dark and see if there is a change.

With regards to the eyes this is a reasonable article

A good way to conserve your 'phones battery is to close all of your apps occasionally and to just reopen those that you actually use ; apps that are open in the background inevitably consume system resources.
