I would be most interested to hear any views or experiences
or your thoughts on the best supplier of broadband, I have
Faster Fibre Broadband unlimited with telephone landline.
I have been with the same provider for a very long time.
Won't be too long before my contract runs out, I usually just continue
and haven't had any dealings with all the new companies.
Thank you TallTrees

I've seen a lot worse. One point though, I don't recommend "chasing" broadband speeds, it gets very addictive and frustrating.
Are you seeing any issues when browsing or downloading?
First things though, what is your router syncing at? Then, take 15-20% off that speed for what you are likely to measure, best case.
How often does the router resync? If it goes for a number of week without, its a good sign the cabinet to property link is healthy.
Then, how are you measuring, what device and how is it connected?.
The best way to get a fair speed test is via a PC/Laptop connected via Ethernet cable. WiFi is a whole speed subject in itself
Also, with the site you were using you can change the test server, this also impacts on the measurements. Another one to try is BT's
My honest advice though, stay away from all this unless you want to start a deep understanding on what impacts speed from your ISP to cabinet to router to device etc etc
If your happy with your browsing and downloading, just enjoy it

I've used a lot of broadband providers in the 13 years I've had it.
What I would say is that you only get to know how good or bad the service is when you have issues and I've had both really bad and really good experiences in this regard.
The best I have found in my personal experience is a company called Zen Internet, www.zen.co.uk.
They serve both business and home but tend to be more well known in the business market.
They are definitely not the cheapest by any means but when I've had problems they've either been able to solve them over the phone or have mobilised Openreach promptly who have arrived with a detailed description of the problem so that they can resolve it quickly.
