Parts of our network have been affected by the power disruption caused by severe weather in the Highlands and Islands of Scotland.

So some O2 customers may be not be able to make and receive calls, send texts or use data on their devices.

We expect to restore full service as the power supply returns.

Red Alert issued by Traffic Scotland and Police Scotland advising to avoid travelling on the roads. Numerous incidents across the road network in the south, west, central and Perthshire areas with road closures, fallen trees and flash flooding.

I feel so sorry for the people affected. We live near the river and there was a flood warning in place for a lot of last winter and I was going to check the water levels nearly every day and my husband had to try to reassure me that we'd be ok.

Its been quite bad up here in the north-east, in particular with flooding.
