Insomnia sucks! Trying to let my brain decide whether the progress of AI is good or bad for mankind. The question they pose..is there anything technology shouldn't solve? Hmmm..yep..gonna keep me awake more now lol x

I think I am someone who sits on the fence with this topic @Cairdeas I think there is so much to embrace with the advent of new technologies and AI, though surely there are skills that will be lost? I am seeing it now where the art of conversation is diminishing. People are relying more and more on social media and use smartphones, laptops and tablets to converse and communicate.
I know I am just touching the tip of the iceberg with one 'lost art'...there are so many others.
On the other hand I have to embrace all types of medical technology. The magnitude of what machines are capable of in this field is awe inspiring. The speed in which we can diagnose and treat many illnesses is nothing short of brilliant.
Perhaps if I am becoming philosophical....Mankind may become more like the Artificial Intelligence we 'think' we are inventing...
PS I am also an insomniac tonight...:smileywink:

Great post @Cleoriff I agree with all your points. Whilst we embrace all progress in technology, especially in medicine and sciences, there is a definite downside in the marked decline in socialisation of our people. I can only foresee that escalating. Rather sad really
I hope you manage to get some sleep x
