Sir Henry Moore ... old alumni of where I went to Senior school.

'I'd rather have my sculpture in the landscape, than on the most beautiful building I know'

One of his recurring themes ... ... ... King and Queen ... ... ... in Scotland, I believe, hopefully still in situ.

One of my favourite pieces of his work, yes we studied his work to GCE A level in 3D Art classes

Image may contain: table and indoor

A long-stitch tapestry I did from a kit and which my then husband had framed for me.

A Charcoal drawing 20191006_075015 (3)_LI.jpgof my Boris 1997  @Anonymous

I took Boris into Art College and he was "having a lie down" for all the class to do life drawings

this was to get animals on the move, but he didn't move much!

Love that boyheart

I quite like Toulouse Lautrec

His paintings are loose (in every sense of the word!)

and activeheart_eyes  Also can be very pretty

I also love the paintings by renown wildlife artist David Shepherd and, with our little Hope born and living in Amboseli, thought it appropriate to share David Shepherd`s painting "Elephants at Amboseli"

elephants at amboseli by david shepherd

[although, of course, it doesn`t include Hope and family]

Some people see things as they are and ask "Why?"; I dream of things that never were and ask "Why not?"

That is a good thought @Mi-Amigo

David Shepherd made his money from

"Boots" prints!

david-shepherd-bull-elephant.jpgDavid Shepherd was a committed conservationist
So very apt for your posting @Mi-Amigo You reminded me of him, his paintings were used on plates, place mats, cups just about everything 😁

Probably not as appreciated as he ought to have been.

He would have been a great asset today I expect.

I remember perusing the sliding doors on which Boots paintings were displayed.
