Very sad news indeed. Am a devoted fan of Aretha Franklin and have been since the first time I heard her sing with her powerful, soulful voice. Ballads or up tempo she could belt out either with true soul..
Like many black singers she started singing in the church and I enjoyed hearing her sing gospel numbers which she did as well as the soul tracks she was best noted for.
My prayers and best wishes to her and her family 💓
