Apple sued over WiFi Assist

Yet again another lawsuit has been filed against Apple

This time it is in relation to the WiFi Assist feature. This is where the mobile automatically switches to mobile data when Wifi signal is poor or non existent. The complainants filing the lawsuit said Apple had not properly explained the potential consequences of Wi-Fi Assist....and some users were complaining of high bills

The problem appears to be that Wifi Assist is set to on as default whereas Samsungs similar feature Smart Network switch is set to off as default

That's a real shame @adamtemp64
Surely something so simple should have been considered by now.

For any app or feature pre-installed on any phone that may cost the customer money or data usage, be it iPhone, Android, or Windows, the default should be set to OFF. End of.

That^^^ I'm afraid is where apple keep failing.
Turning off wifi to "save power"
Turning on data to "boost wifi"

It's like they do it on purpose to generate funds for networks

And precisely why there's now a class action lawsuit against them for doing that. It's my money. My data. Apple nor any other manufacturer has no right to tell me how I should spend it when I'm using their phone.
