Unless I've missed something, they don't actually give the size of the phone. Not that I care as I wouldn't have an iPhone if Apple paid me.

Thing Is though the iPhone 9 & 9 Plus are probably going to look the same as they have done for the past 4 years

Not really a suprise to find a mention in the code and something in the icon library as I'd assume Apple has a few engineers using engineering samples as their 'daily driver' running the beta software to check hardware performance.
