A sad sign of our times that any instances of cars hitting pedestrians and our minds immediately think terrorist attack. Unfortunately these thoughts are usually confirmed given that vehicles are the preferred weapons these days.

From this early report it looks as if no one was killed which is a mercy. Just some nutter using his car as a weapon or another terrorist attack - either way horrible.

Thankfully not thought to be terror related

An update from the force said the incident was now being treated as "a road traffic collision".

Yes thankfully but it's easy to jump to the wrong conclusion. No less painful for those injured and thoughts with them and their families.

Totally agree @jonsie. 'A car mounts a pavement'.....how many times has that happened and been terrorist related?.

Very frightening for all those involved slight_frown
