Re: America has a new President!

It's a bit sickening that the Dept Of Justice was as corrupt as the President they represented.

I hope we never hear from him or his cronies again.

I would welcome your thoughts @Bambino ?

Re: America has a new President!

Rachel Maddow is slowly becoming my favorite tv personality.

And here is another clip,

Listen from 1:10, another call from Trump to Georgia officials asking for votes.

Listen from 6:24 for the original call from Trump to Brad Raffensperger.

And judging by his blog, he still believes he's done nothing wrong.

@Cleoriff I'm hoping that SDNY and the NY State Attorney General will get him. Also the State of Georgia for the infamous phone call where he was trying to flip the votes. A Grand Jury has been convened in NY to decide if he should be indicted. I think that will happen. It is my fervent hope that Trump and his entire family are prosecuted and convicted. If that doesn't happen, we will need to worry about 2024.

Re: America has a new President!

Thanks for that @Bambino. Why do we need to worry about 2024?

Surely this despicable creature wouldn't be allowed to stand again for President?

Re: America has a new President!

@Cleoriff If he's not tied up in the courts or convicted and denied the right to run for office, he could very well run again. At the moment most of the Republican party is unfortunately still in his camp, and he's still calling the shots, so it's a very big concern. If candidates he supports win in the 2022 mid-term elections, and the House of Representatives or Senate or both fall back into Republican control, we could be facing a disastrous 2024.
