Re: America has a new President!

Well the keyword here is "projected by the media" not official yet and there's still at least one recount, a court order in Pensylvania to be enacted so the final confirmation isn't until December when the states have to resolve the issues. This will run a bit longer.

@sheepdog  Biden needed 270 votes and is on 273. Trump is on 214. So I think the fat lady has sung for Trump...

Although I agree that Trump will ensure it isn't over.

Seamus Heaney's The Cure at Troy, played at the end of the main RTÉ news program last night, and also used by Biden as one of his election videos (different visuals here though) :

Best listened to loud...

Let's see how things pan out between now and the inauguration in January!

2 bits of news since Trump took to his heels.. .

https://www.npr.org/sections/live-updates-2020-election-results/2020/11/06/932376507/trump-dumps-3-a...

And

https://www.nbcnews.com/politics/national-security/trump-loyalists-given-top-pentagon-roles-after-se...

And now the piece de résistance:

I chanced upon this bit of analysis (it's a two-cupper, so put the kettle on!) on how Trump could still end up in the White House... It's jaw-dropping, but not, given events since 06-Nov, completely beyond the realms of reason:

I think there are more nail-biting days ahead of us until the 3rd week of January! FearConfusedAstounded

Re: America has a new President!

I had to laugh at this - it starts in the middle of a TV show, I hope the forum honours the start time parameter Youtube offers:
