I have just heard on the news that All Blacks rugby legend Jonah Lomu died suddenly today. He was 40 years of age. He had suffered with a rare kidney disease for years (even when playing rugby) Despite this he was in England with his family during the last Rugby World Cup.
R.I.P Jonah. A true giant of a man

Jonah touched the lives of so many people, not just in his own country but the world over. Superstar is a term so misused nowadays but he was an absolute legend. The only sportsman I know whosè early demise affected me as much was THE best footballer of all time (imho) Georgie Best, unfortunately he was totally responsible for his untimely early departure from not only the sport but also from his very existence. Not so Jonah, cruelly taken by a desease that I also suffer from. I won't be held in such reverence when I go but as long as I breathe I will never forget the awesome power, skill and sportsmanship that he brought into Rugby.
Legend, a term much abused but very apt for a man who was so dignified off the pitch as much as he was revered on the pitch. God bless Jonah.
