A little bit excited!

I've bought a new car!  I've currently got a 3 door Fiesta which I love, but we struggle using it as our main car with only 3 doors.  I'm picking up my Peugeot 208 on Saturday!

Hi Tracey,

Its always exciting when one gets a new toy no matter what it is.

The buzz and feel good factor is awesome.

Enjoy your new car.

Thanks BoB!  There are a couple of downsides to losing my Fiesta (no heated front screen, parking sensors or CD player) but I think I'll cope!

I was a bit shocked by the lack of a CD player though!  I know I can use my phone or iPod but don't Peugeot realise I have over 400 CDs?!

Car manufacturers are trying to keep up with modern tech these days, so they think everyone now uses mp3 etc., so Peugeot (and the rest of them) are moving away from CD players. The car will almost certainly have a USB input.

You could always 'rip' your CD's on your computer and then you'll have all your favourites in that format slight_smile

I do use my phone and iPod (all my CDs are on the iPod) in the car now but I think it's a bit premature to start removing CD players - not everyone uses MP3.  I just like having the option!

It's all down to cost cutting.
High end cars have cd, mp3, usb, sd card, digital radio etc but the lower down the price band you go features get removed to reduce the overall cost of the vehicle.....
Usually these items are available as options that you can pay extra for.

I've got USB, auxilliary and Bluetooth so I should be ok - I can Bluetooth my music from my phone so I probably don't need CD really!  Unfortunately the car is a couple of months too old to have DAB fitted as standard!
