A True Hero

His name is Mamoudou Gassama. A Malian migrant living in Paris. I'm sure he wasn't looking for any reward, or had any thought for his own safety when he did this. I'm glad the French government has chosen to recognise his bravery.

Re: A True Hero

Hero's don't think about themselfs, they just do. It's sad most people just do nothing. I guess this man thinks it's a matter of course (as it should be).

(my job see's much lack of moral courage every day :/)

Glad he got the reward he deserves. And I'm sure he will become a great firefighter (if he wants to start the career)! Smiley Happy

Re: A True Hero

We watched this on TV. An absolutely amazing feat. Quite selfless. He deserves his citizenship.heart

On the other hand, words fail me when I think of the father who left the toddler alone.

Thank god the neighbour was in the right place at the right time.

Re: A True Hero

Yes absolutely outstanding feat of heroism. How many people would have gone this far to help a total stranger, even a baby.

His reward is well deserved and well done to the French government.

As for the father @Cleoriff, what I think of him cannot be written in the community as it'd be bleeped out for bad language. If it hadn't been for this amazing stranger, the father would no longer have a child. With a bit of luck, he will no longer have custody of this child. He doesn't deserve it.
