I am sure it was stunning - alas, skies here have been shrouded in cloud, all the way down to the ground some days, so saw none of it. Hopefully better weather in 2043 😂

I was lucky to see this one. Normally the sky is too cloudy. However, we'd had a hot day and clear sky at night.
It was lovely to see it. 😍

I missed it unfortunately
It was a nice sunny day here but I simply forgot!
I remember the last one, watched it with my wife sat outside the pub.
I'm guessing around 20 years ago....happy days!

HELLO STURGEON MOON
staying with the 🐟 fishy theme @Mi-Amigo !
The Sturgeon Moon is the name given to the August full Moon, the final full Moon of summer 2025.
It takes its name from the fact that late summer is the time when sturgeon fish were most plentiful in the Great Lakes of North America.
Hope you like the photo @Cleoriff and get a view of this Moon.
Maybe the weather will be just right for you to view this too @jonsie
This time @pgn hope you get a view in N.I.
🤔

A large orange orb visible in the sky at 10pm or so last night here, will keep a watch on the sky this evening, see if the Sturgeon Moon is visible at its fullest. Thanks @TallTrees 🌕

Thanks for the reminder to catch sight of this beautiful moon tonight.
I see it's closely followed by the Perseids Meteor shower on the12th-13th.
The Perseids is classed as one of the best meteor showers to be seen, Often showing 50-100 meteors an hour.
