Unlock old device

I need to unlock an old device. I have made a request via the O2 app but it says can take up to 7 days. I need to unlock ASAP as my phone is corrupted and I need to use the old one. Please help.

It takes as long as the manufacturer takes to send back the code to o2, there is no way to speed this up, as it can take some 7 days to send it back to o2. 

If it is urgent then a phone shop where you live (not a network store) may be able to unlock it.
