O2 Priority Vendor Question

Morning all,

 

I've recently discovered Priority and have been very impressed with it tbh!

 

I just wondered how it works from the vendors side instore though?  So far, I've been standing there holding my phone out expecting the vendor to have to copy the long code onto thier till somewhere, but within seconds they hand me the item and reciept and say it's all done - while I'm still standing there like a lemon holding my phone out! laughing  They can't be coping that code within a second or two surely!? confused

 

Also, is it possible to use at a self checkout at all?  I haven't tried so far as wasn't sure.

They have a button on the till for it but all promotions are "while stocks last" so occasionally, you may miss out.
No, not possible to use on self checkout anywhere that I've been.

Ah I see, so they don't have to type in each individual code to verify that it's a real one?  Just put it through as a free promo.  That would explain the speed then.  Thanks!
