@Cleoriff It does, I agree! I was also surprised to discover that although it's not what they advertise prominently, Nando's have some delicious vegetarian options, and even vegan ones   

What would you normally get at Nando's, assuming you have been in the past and know a bit about the menu?

I have never been to a Nandos anywhere.

I've always thought it would be 'frightfully posh', full of all types of nouvelle cuisine and nothing substantial at all.

Just shows I really should do my homework

It's been quite a while since I've been to Nando's. I used to have the chicken wings, Cole slaw and rice. It was delicious.

They used to be in the food hall at Fulham Broadway tube station. I used to visit with a friend after we'd been to the cinema, also in Fulham Broadway tube station. There is a small shopping mall, the cinema, a pub which serves good, tasty and piping hot food (can't remember the name), a Pizza Express and another restaurant which kept changing the nationality of the food served: the best was a Thai restaurant which served superb Pad Thai. The portions were large and you had to go in hungry.

It's been ages since I've been to Fulham Broadway, so no idea if the Nando's is still there, or the Pizza Express. I'm sure the pub is at it did a roaring trade, particularly when Chelsea were playing at home: the grounds are just up the road from the tube station. We always checked when Chelsea had a home game, to avoid Fulham Broadway if at all possible.

I'm a frequent visitor to Nando's in Thailand, much prefer it to KFC. What I really miss though is Popeyes which has just started vbeing franchised over there. Fell in love with that in LA.

I've never had the coleslaw and rice, I usually get the Sweet Potato and Butternut patty in a pitta, with chip or macho peas. Maybe I'll try the rice next time I go, thanks for the suggestion! Which one of the many sauces did you like to have with your wings? I'm partial to the lemon and herbs, or mango and lime ...

I had no idea Nando's was available outside of the UK! Do you remember the menu being different? Never been to Popeyes when I was in the US but if I get the chance to, I'll let you know how I liked it!

@EmilieT for me I usually go for the 1/2 chicken (medium spice) with peri-peri chips & garlic bread. Can't be beaten 🙂
