Hi everyone!
Do any of you listen to symphonic metal by any chance? If so, good news: the Dutch symphonic/gothic metal band Delain has announced a UK tour for February 2020! Priority Tickets pre-sale is open until Wednesday 19 June for the following gigs:
Delain has been active since 2002 and was formed by Within Temptation keyboardist Martijn Westerholt and vocalist Charlotte Wessels. In addition, the band has 3 other members: Timo Somers (guitars), Merel Bechtold (guitars), Otto Schimmelpenninck van der Oije (bass) and Joey Marin de Boer (drums). They have released 5 albums so far, with the 6th one in the works, set to release this year.
Trivia: their band name Delain comes from Stephen King's novel, The Eyes of the Dragon.
Here's a couple of their music videos, one from 2019 and one from 2014:
Anyone excited about this tour? Have you listened to Delain or any other symphonic metal bands? Which ones are your favourites?
