Buying presale tickets as a gift

Looking to buy some presale tickets as an early wedding gift for some friends, can I do this? Or would I need to attend as the O2 priority member - neither of my friends are members.

Thats all depends on the promoter, and what restrictions they have on tickets and if at the gig they need the card holder or not to be present. 

What I would do is speak to the ticket seller either AXS or Ticketmaster and just double check, and make sure the tickets are in their names and not yours.
